With her position of 12 in the latest WTA rankings, which were published on Monday, Ana has secured her joint-highest Grand Slam seeding in four years for the Championships.
The 25-year-old is guaranteed to be seeded no lower than 12th at Wimbledon , which was her seeding at the 2012 US Open. Prior to that event she had not been seeded so highly at a Grand Slam since the 2009 US Open.
Ana's elevated seeding means that she will avoid playing one of the world's top four ranked players until at least the quarter-finals.
