<Canadian tennis> thread is dead, we just discuss about Wozniak and it shouldn't stop soon. Aleksandra Wozniak (born September 7, 1987) is a professional tennis player from Canada. Wozniak is Canada's highest-ranked women's singles player at number 45 in the world (21 July 2008). She has won one WTA and seven ITF tournaments. According to her website, she speaks six languages, learned Polish first and she is coached by her father, Antoni.
In July 2008, Wozniak won the first WTA singles title of her career at the Bank of the West Classic at Stanford, California, defeating an injured sixth seed Marion Bartoli of France 7–5, 6–3 in the final. She was a qualifier to the tournament, so she had to win 3 qualifying matches and then 5 main draw matches in nine days, including a 6–2, 3–1 (retired) semifinals win over top seed Serena Williams on the way to the title. Wozniak became the first Canadian in 20 years to win a WTA singles title. The victory vaulted her WTA singles ranking from 85 to 45 in the world. ^ Well, both, Wozniak and Wozniacki were born in other countries than Poland, tho their families have nothing common with countries which become just girls' homelands. Super Jolly Green Giant .. |

^ I would say just stick with the canadian players thread heck I am the only active Canadian on the forum and certain members who shall remain nameless, think Wozniak and Wozniacki are the same player haha j/k Last edited by sjgreg (Jul 27, 2008 4:52 am) ![]() PINK ENVELOPE SIGN UP IN OFF TOPIC FORUM ![]() NUMBER 22 IN THE WORLD BUT NUMBER 1 IN OUR HEARTS ![]() PROUD MEMBER OF THE I LOVE NATASHA FANCLUB ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

She's only 7 days older then me, but she's got a couple of arms any man would be jealous of Ana Ivanovic: 2009 Indian Wells runner-up. Ok, that didn't work this year |

So, maybe it a good idea to move posts about Wozniak (first from that consecutive discussion is here):

Super Jolly Green Giant

Ok, well that makes it understandable
), Polish was first... It seems she's one of the most intelligent players, she used to study at uni or still studies... Dunno.
