She was born on April 29 1987. in Bologna,Italy.
She is 164 cm tall,and her weight is 60 kg.
She started pro in 2002.
Best result on the grand slam was second round of US Open last year(2007),and she is now 43. in the world.
Her career is rising,because she recently one two singles Tier IV WTA titles-in Palermo and Portoroz.

Sara hails from Bologna, Italy, and has been ranked in and out of the top  40 for the last year or so. Her career high ranking is 31. She has two titles to her name, Palermo  2008 ( she made the final there this year, losing to Pennetta) and Portoroz 2008. She is 22 years of age. I know most people here won't like her grunt, but that's what makes me like her! She is small, standing at just 5'4/5'5 but wins her matches through consistency and she is well known for being a true fighter ( which she conveys through her grunt ) She speaks Italian, English and Spanish, and is friendly with all the Italian players, and others such as Lourdes Dominguez Lino and David Ferrer.
She is coached by Pablo Lozano and David Andres and was introduced to tennis at the age of 5 by her father. Her favourite shot is her forehand and she likes clay the most.

Sara thrashes Voegele 6-1 6-2 to make it through to the final. Only 8 games dropped all tournament! She will now play Safina. Vamos Sara

good tournament for her she was leading in the final set with a break against safina but lost.

Yeah, the match has just finished. She had a chanches but she didn't use them....
