Without any doubts, this season is the best one for Spanish player, who reached SF of US Open, after defeating his more famous compatriot, Rafa Nadal... Today, at Shanghai, where he plays his first Masters Cup, he defeated Rafa again. (now his ratio of wins/losses is like 4-3 for Nadal, so it's quite levelled) David is very close to reach SF of Masters Cup, he seems to be in the best form from all 8 players (he's no. 6 of both ATP rankings, what means his best place in ranking during whole career) and he deserves to win this tournament! Till now he won 5 tournaments (3 in 2007), 3x was runner-up, also won 2x doubles finals and reached 1 more without final win. I realize now that generation of '82, including him and also Nalbandian, seems to enter their best form and soon will show the same level as top 3 of ATP.

He is playing the best tennis ive seen in many times in the master i havent seen Federer playing like him so i think that he can win the master if he keeps this amazing level.. Nadal could be the rival in the final i think...

Ferrer isnt a very mediatic player so isn´t very known internationally and in Spain there are others as Tommy,Moyá,Ferrero and also Verdasco that are more mediatic but wis this master his going to rise up a lot because with this tennis level he must be nº1

i would like to see ferrer vs gonzo playing the final and well gonzo will win it jejejje (this thought it's over )

^^ Results, not level of appearances in media, are important! And Ferrer is second Spanish player behind Nadal, moreover he knows the way to defeat Rafa...

And what about abother Spanish players, you mentioned:
Robredo - he seems to be only solid
Moya - old guy, but still keep the form
Ferrero - this one doesn't keep the form
Verdasco - the most ordinary from Spanish players, shouldn't be compared with guys above

Ferrer ubeatable in group Gold, that's something great, and almost incredible... I think lot of us are shocked a little, especially in context of your expectation before Masters Cup.

Ferrer has just reached his best success, final of Masters Cup is probably, till now, highlight of his career... Now it's only one task for him - win it, to make even bigger success!!! But who'll be his opponent in final? Federer or Nadal? Nadal seems to be better for David, cos he's already won with him there... But first of all Nadal has to defeat Fedex, and it's very hard task. What will happen? We've to wait!

I think he definitely has a problem with nerves. He was playing great in the previous matches but he struggles with his first serves here and he's making so many mistakes, double-faulting on the most crucial points. Looking at the match stats, you'll find that Federer won 93 points opposed to his 62 points in 1 hour 38 min. That is one-way traffic.

^unpopular it is, i guess ferrer is just one of those players who are really consistent but never make any significant achievements so no one bothers talking about him.

yeh pretty bad loss, but kei is an up and rising star.

Very disappointing loss by Ferrer. Now Del Petro has a much easier path to the quarter finasl!
