Ana is into the semi-finals of the AEGON Classic in Birmingham courtest of a 6-1, 6-4 victory over sixth seed Klara Koukalova.
It was more of the same from Ana, who chalked up her third straight win: all three Birmingham victories have come with the loss of no more than five games each.
The victory means that no WTA player has won more matches this season than Ana: the 26-year-old and Agnieszka Radwanska have won 36 matches each.
The top seed was dominant from the opening game. The second set was tight, but Ana scored what proved to be a decisive break in the ninth game.
"I really felt I started well and I didn't do much wrong," said Ana. "I was really aggressive, coming in a lot.
"In the second set, I think I didn't come as much and she started to play actually a lot better in the second set. But I'm really happy with the way I'm playing at the moment."
Anawill face Shuai Zhang in the last four on Saturday at 12pm local time (1pm Central European Time; 7am Eastern Time), after the Chinese player scored a stunning 6-3, 6-1 win over third seed Sloane Stephens.
