Ana has been drawn to play Switzerland's Emmanuelle Gagliardi in the first round of the Championships, which begin on Monday. Ana has never before played the world No.119, who has twice reached the third round at Wimbledon.
Should she overcome the Swiss, Ana will face either Marta Domachowska of Poland, whom she beat at the J&S Cup in Warsaw two months ago, or British wild card Sarah Borwell. Ana's scheduled third round opponent is No.14 seeded Russian Dinara Safina, while top seed Amelie Mauresmo awaits in round four.
Defending champion Venus Williams is a potential quarter-final opponent, while Russians Maria Sharapova and Elena Dementieva are possible adversaries in the last four, thus completing a tricky draw for the 18-year-old.
Belgian No.2 and No.3 seeds Kim Clijsters and Justine Henin-Hardenne are in the bottom half of the draw, along with No.12 seed Martina Hingis, who will make her first appearance at the All England Club since 2001.
Because Ana is in the same section of the draw as Williams - the top half - her opening round match will be played on Tuesday, weather permitting: traditionally the half of the draw that includes the women's champion plays on day two of the Championships.
Ana was elevated to 19th seed after the withdrawal of No.5 seed Nadia Petrova due to a groin injury.
Ana is also competing in the ladies' doubles competition with Maria Kirilenko. The pair have been drawn to face Ana's countrywoman Jelena Jankovic and Slovenian TIna Krizan, with whom Ana played doubles with here last year, in the first round. Should Ana and Kirilenko, who are doubles finalists in s'Hertogenbosch this week, win they could face No.7 seeds Liezel Huber and Martina Navratilova in round two.
