Ana looks ahead to New York exhibition

Speaking to local media ahead of her participation in the BNP Paribas Showdown in New York on Monday, Ana expressed her excitement about returning to the four-player exhibition.

"I feel very honored to have the opportunity to come back to New York and play in the Garden," said Ana about the event that takes place at the beloved Madison Square Garden. She faces reigning US Open champion Kim Clijsters in the first semi-final at 7pm local time.

"It's such a great event and great fun. It's going to be a great match. I played her once a long time ago. She's a lovely girl, and seeing her come back to win a Grand Slam, it was a great achievement. I always looked up to her. It's going to be a great opportunity to play against her on Monday night."

Ana, who faced Serena Williams in the one-set exhibition last year, added: "The crowd is amazing. They're really very exuberant. Playing in the Garden, with so much history...and last year I remember the arena was full. It's exciting to compete there and play in such a stadium."
