Ana is in Prague, preparing for the Fed Cup Final between Serbia and the Czech Republic at the weekend. She is the top-ranked player for the visitors and is joined in the team by world No.22 Jelena Jankovic, Bojana Jovanovski (56th) and Aleksandra Krunic (167th).
“I am happy to be a part of the team. This has been a huge success for us," said Ana, who was part of the Serbian team that defeated Russia 3-2 in Moscow in the semi-finals.
"I am very happy and proud that we qualified for the final.
"There is great pressure on both teams. We want to play well especially for our team and for our country, to repeat the success that the guys achieved in the Davis Cup, and I hope that we have the same support from Serbia like the guys had.
"It is a spcial situation, because we have to play two left-handed players, which is a big coincidence, because there are not many on the WTA tour. We have left-handed sparring partners and we will prepare as best we can.
"We have a fighting spirit and good support from the bench (support staff), which means a lot to us, and we will not give up until the last moment. Every match is different. We have to focus and do our best."
Intrigue surrounds the Czech line-up, as 2011 Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova was forced to withdraw from last week's season-ending WTA Championships due to a virus.
She confirmed that she is "getting better" following a period of bed-rest, but remains a doubt for Saturday's singles rubbers.
