Ana was unable to build upon the momentum gathered by last week's Madrid semi-final appearance, as she was beaten 6-3, 2-6, 6-2 by world No.35 Ursula Radwanska in the first round of the Internazionali BNL d'Italia in Rome.
The 25-year-old was a shadow of the player who thrashed world No.6 Angelique Kerber in Madrid last week. She was tentative during most of the match and
Ana served seven double faults and won just 34 per cent of points on her second serve during the one hour, 44 minute match.
Ana's next scheduled tournament is the French Open, which begins in Paris on Sunday 26 May.
