Ana slips to No.15

Ana has fallen two places to No.15 in the latest Sony Ericsson WTA Tour singles rankings. The drop is due to the 18-year-old's injury-enforced absence from last week's Zurich Open, which meant that she was unable to defend the 135pts she earned in Switzerland last year.

The youngster, whose doubles ranking is unchanged at No.53, is overtaken by Jelena Jankovic and Anna Chakvetadze – both of whom reach career best rankings – and Francesca Schiavone. Ana herself has moved ahead of former No.1 Lindsay Davenport, who won last year's Zurich Open but did not compete last week.

Ana is in action in Linz this week with her first round match against Michaella Krajicek set to take place on Tuesday. Ana has 88pts to defend at the Tier II event, having reached the semi-finals in Austria last year.

The ranking points breakdown for the Generali Ladies Linz presented by Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich is as follows: First Round, 1pt; Second Round, 25pts; Quarter-Finals, 49pts; Semi-Finals, 88pts; Runner-Up, 137pts; Winner, 195pts.
