Ana stays at No.19

Ana’s ranking is unchanged in the latest list published by the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour today. She stays at No.19 but has closed the gap between herself and those ahead of her, thanks to a quarter-final appearance in Los Angeles last week.

Her doubles ranking again moves up significantly – Ana rises 10 places to No.72 as a result of her second round finish at the JPMorgan Chase Open, alongside Maria Kirilenko.

In the Porsche Race, the standings that determine the eight qualifiers for the season-ending Sony Ericsson Championships in Madrid, Ana moves up one place to No.19.

Ana is in action at the Rogers Cup presented by National Bank in Montreal this week. The ranking points breakdown of the 56-woman Tier I event is as follows: First Round, 1pt; Second Round, 25pts; Third Round, 42pts; Quarter-Finals, 75pts; Semi-Finals, 135pts; Runner-Up, 210pts; Winner, 300pts.

Ana reached the third round of the event last year.
