Ana is set to take on ninth seed Victoria Azarenka in the first round of the Western & Southern Financial Group Women’s Open in Cincinnati on Monday.
Azarenka, who is two years Ana’s junior, showed supreme form last week when she won the Bank of the West Classic in Stanford, beating Maria Sharapova in the final.
Since they turned professional, Ana and Azarenka have played each other twice on Tour.
The pair’s latest meeting was in May, when Ana beat the world No.12 in the second round of the Internazionali BNL d'Italia in Rome, 6-4 6-4. The Belorusian won the first encounter during the French Open in 2009.
Ana commented on her Facebook page: ‘Very tough draw for me in Cincinnati. Azarenka is obviously in very good form at the moment and I'm going to have to be at my best for this match. I did well against her the last time we played, and I hope for a similar performance.’
