Ana takes on world No.31 Nadia Petrova in the semi-finals of the Commonwealth Bank Tournament of Champions in Bali on Saturday. The match will take place a day before Ana's 24th birthday.
The clash will represent the 12th meeting between the pair; Ana leads the head-to-head series 6-5, although the Russian won their last encounter, in Cincinnati three months ago.
"Nadia is always a tough opponent," said Ana. "I've played her maybe more times than I've played anyone so I know what to expect. Her serve is very strong.
"We both like to dominate with our forehands so consistency is going to be a key factor."
Reflecting on yesterday's victory over Roberta Vinci, which was the 300th of Ana's career, the 23-year-old said: "I felt like it was a good start to the tournament. I was condfident and I enjoyed it. I love playing here."
Ana hurt her foot during the second set but has been having treatment on it ever since, and it is understood to have improved.
