Ana takes on world No.4 Agnieszka Radwanska in the fourth round of the Australian Open on Sunday. Ana has a 3-4 head-to-head record against the Pole, having won their first three matches and lost their last four.
The pair last played each other in Beijing two years ago, when Ana retired injured as Radwanska led 6-3, 3-2. That was only their second meeting on an outdoor hard court: the first came in Melbourne in round three of the 2007 Australian Open, when Ana triumphed 6-2, 3-6, 6-2.
Radwanska has been in flawless form during 2013, winning two titles already and compiling a 13-0 win-loss record, with all 13 victories coming in straight sets. She crushed world No.14 Dominika Cibulkova 6-0, 6-0 in the final of Sydney last week.
"She definitely matured a lot as a player," said Ana. "She was always a very tough competitor. She has a style of game that she doesn't give you much and you really have to work for your points.
"Being patient is going to be a key. It's going to be tough, for sure. I have to be prepared to work hard for my points and to keep on putting pressure on her.
"It is going to be a balance of being aggressive enough and then still patient enough."
The match is scheduled as the first of the night session on Rod Laver Arena and will begin at 7pm local time (9am Central European Time; 3am Eastern Time). Click here for live point-by-point scoring from Melbourne Park.
