Ana and Agnieszka Radwanska will meet for the tenth time on Sunday in the fourth round of Roland Garros. The Polish world No.4 holds a 6-3 head-to-head advantage.
Intriguingly, Ana won the opening three matches between the two, while Radwanska has won the last six. In fact, Ana has not won a set in the last five meetings.
The pair have faced one another twice already this year: Radwanska triumphed 6-2, 6-4 in the fourth round of the Australian Open and she won 6-1, 7-6 in the third round of Doha.
On clay it's 2-0 to Radwanska, although Ana held a 4-0 final set lead in their Rome encounter in 2009, while in Stuttgart a year later it was a tight 7-6, 6-4 scoreline.
"We obviously know each other's game very well," said Ana. "We've played each other so many times and I know what to expect.
"I feel like in Doha in the second set it was much closer. She is one of the most consistent players on the tour: I can't think of a player who makes less mistakes than her, and she really makes you earn it.
"I know that I have to be patient but also to take my opportunities to attack."
