Ana vs Serena Williams

Ana vs Serena Williams

Ana meets world No.1 and five-time champion Serena Williams in the fourth round of the Australian Open on Sunday. Williams, who is the overwhelming favourite for the title in Melbourne, holds a 4-0 head-to-head record against Ana.

In fact, Ana has never won more than four games in a single set against the 17-time Grand Slam champion. Such is Williams' dominace of women's tennis that she has accured almost as many ranking points as the No.2 and No.3 players combined.
"Serena is on top of the game for so long now," said Ana. "She's someone we admire actually. It's going to be a very tough task.

"But I look forward to that challenge. I've been playing some good tennis all summer. It's going to be a nice test to see where I'm at."

When asked what the most important aspects of the match are likely to be, Ana commented: "Many things are going to be very important. She's obviously a great server. For me, it's going to be very important to hang in her service games and try to make her play, and make more returns.

"Then again on my service game, to try and stay composed, and serve well, yet be aggressive.

"So it's going to be finding the balance between being aggressive enough but yet not rushing."

Stosur, whom Ana beat 6-7, 6-4, 6-2 in round three on Friday, gives Ana a puncher's chance. "Anytime you go on court, there's always a chance," she said.

"I thought Ana played very well [against me]. If she can keep serving well, be dangerous on her forehand, it will certainly give Serena something to think about.

"It's going to be very tough. Serena's obviously playing very well. She has been for a long time now. Ana probably doesn't have much to lose, so she can go out there and swing freely. I guess it will be a good match."
