When Belgium’s Kim Clijsters was engaged to Lleyton Hewitt, she was 'Aussie Kim’. The Australian tennis public like to adopt smiley foreign female tennis players, and now the 'Aussie’ prefix has passed to the young woman from Belgrade.
“I find it funny and flattering,” said Ivanovic, who spent Christmas with Scott in his native Queensland.
“There are so many contenders for the Australian Open this year, with at least 10 players capable of winning it. Obviously Serena Williams has to be the main favourite because she always does well there, and has won so many grand slams.
"But, yeah, I think there are many players who can win it, and I believe I’m one of them.”
