Ana is seeded No.1 at the Abierto Monterrey Afirme in Mexico. She has been drawn to play a qualifier in round one.
In round two Ana would face either compatriot Aleksandra Krunic or France's Pauline Parmentier. Sixth seed Alison Riske of the U.S.A. is a possible quarter-final opponent.
Third seed Caroline Garcia could await in the semi-finals. Would-be second seed Eugenie Bouchard withdrew from the tournament.
Ana has touched down in Mexico for the defence of her Abierto Monterrey Afirme title. The 27-year-old captured the crown last season by beating compatriot Jovana Jaksic 6-2, 6-1 in the first ever all-Serbian WTA final.
Ana felled third seed Caroline Wozniacki in the semi-finals. This time around she is the top seed - last year she was seeded second - and will face competition from the likes of world No.7 Eugenie Bouchard, 12th-ranked Sara Errani and rising Frenchwoman Caroline Garcia.
Ana's ranking is unchanged at No.6 in the latest WTA Singles Rankings, which are published today.
In the Road To Singapore, which determines the eight qualifiers for the season-ending championships in Singapore, Ana is 18th.

Ana has re-signed as a brand ambassador for Dubai Duty Free, the world's leading airport retailer.
Ana is joined by world No.5 Caroline Wozniacki as a partner of DDF. The pair attended the Dubai International Film Festival last December, and this week filmed new content to showcase the beauty of the region.
"For as long as I can remember, Dubai Duty Free has been one of the biggest supporters of women's tennis," said Ana.
Ana slipped to a 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 defeat to world No.18 Karolina Pliskova in the third round of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships. Pliskova, one of the best servers in women's tennis, hammered down 14 aces to advance to the quarter-finals.
After a poor opening set Ana hit back to level the match.
The deciding set was tense, with the Czech scoring the first break of serve in the seventh game and holding on to win in an hour and 56 minutes.
Ana's next event will be the Monterrey Open, which begins in Mexico in two weeks.

Playing her first match in a month, Ana raced into the third round of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships with a 6-0, 6-3 win over world No.28 Sabine Lisicki.
Ana takes on world No.28 Sabine Lisicki in the second round of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships on Tuesday.
It will be the fifth meeting between the pair, with Ana leading the head-to-head series 3-1. All four matches took place last season, with Ana winning the last two encounters - both on hard courts - in straight sets. She lost to the German at Wimbledon in June.
Ana is seeded fourth here and received a first round bye, while Lisicki advanced to round two with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over 61st-ranked Monica Niculescu.
Ana is seeded fourth at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, which begin on Sunday. She receives a bye in round one.
In the second round Ana will take on either Sabine Lisicki or Monica Niculescu. 17th seed Karolina Pliskova is a possible third round adversary.
In the quarter-finals Ana is seeded to meet eighth seed Venus Williams, while in the last four she may face second seed Petra Kvitova.
Ana appears in a UNICEF Serbia campaign against online bullying that was launched this week.
The UNICEF National Ambassador can be seen in a video message urging youngsters to exercise caution online.
The campaign is subtitled #Prvo razmisli (#ThinkFirst).
