Ana helped conduct the draw for the Qatar Total Open, which begins in Doha on Monday. She will play Slovakian Daniela Hantuchova in the first round.
If she reaches round two, Ana will play either Klara Zakopalova or Elina Svitolina. Sixth seed Angelique Kerber is a likely opponent in the third round.
Should she reach the quarter-finals, Ana could take on top seed and recent Australian Open champion Na Li.
Thid seed Petra Kvitova and No.5 Jelena Jankovic are possible adversaries in the semi-finals.
The leading seeds in the bottom half of the draw, whom Ana cannot face until the final, are No.2 Agnieszka Radwanska, No.4 Sara Errani, No.7 Simona Halep and No.8 Caroline Wozniacki.
Three of the world's top five-ranked players are absent: No.1 Serena Williams and No.2 Victoria Azarenka both withdrew through injury, while No.5 Maria Sharapova has chosen to work as a commentator at the Winter Olympics in her native Sochi, Russia.
