Ana has been given a very challenging draw at the BNL Internazionali d'Italia in Rome. The 24-year-old, who is seedeed 13th, will take on two-time Grand Slam champion Svetlana Kuznetsova of Russia.
Ana lost to Kuznetsova during Serbia's win over Russia in the Fed Cup last month, but she has a 6-4 win-loss record against the current world No.28.
Should she reach round two, Ana will take on either Italian wild card Alberta Brianti or a qualifier. Second seed Maria Sharapova is a possible third round opponent.
Fifth seed Samantha Stosur could await in the quarter-finals of the 56-woman draw, while No.4 Petra Kvitova and No.7 Marion Bartoli are potential semi-final adversaries.
The leading seeds in the top half of the draw, whom Ana cannot face until the final, are No.1 Victoria Azarenka, No.3 Agnieszka Radwanska, No.6 Caroline Wozniacki and No.8 Na Li.
Ana herself conducted the draw at the Spanish Steps in central Rome, alongside ATP players Andy Murray, Andreas Seppi and Fabio Fognini and fellow WTA players Flavia Pennetta and Francesca Schiavone.
