Ana will take on Russian No.2 Svetlana Kuznetsova in the second rubber of the Russia-Serbia Fed Cup semi-final tie on Saturday.
Serbia's second seed Jelena Jankovic faces Russian No.1 Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the opening rubber on indoor clay in Moscow.
The tie looks evenly poised. Ana is the highest-ranked player in either side, but the hosts boast illustrious Fed Cup records: Kuznetsova's win-loss record is 18-7 while Pavlyuchenkova has won her last five rubbers in the competition.
Russia has won the event four times in the past eight years.
“We have a tough task - they have lots of good players in their team - and obviously playing on home courts for them is a little bit of an advantage, but we feel like we’re in a very good position to take them on," said Ana.
"There's a lot of excitement in the team. We believe in each other and we can't wait to get things started."
The tie will get underway at 3pm local time (1pm Central European Time; 7am Eastern Time). Live point-by-point scoring will be available on www.fedcup.com.
