Serbia & Montenegro have been drawn to face Israel in tomorrow's Fed Cup by BNP Paribas Europe/Africa Zone Group I play-offs.
Israel are the strongest team in the group, according to rankings. Their No.1 seed is world No.36 Shahar Peer and their second highest ranked player is world No.41 Anna Smashnova.
While Peer has been in top form, winning all of her four round-robin singles rubbers without dropping a set, Smashnova's results have been indifferent. The 29-year-old, who this week broke Arantxa Sanchez-Vicario’s record for the most number of Fed Cup ties played, has lost to world No.297 Madalina-Victorita Gojnea and world No.93 Kaia Kanepi.
