Ana lost to world No.29 Caroline Garcia 7-6(6), 6-4 in the firsr round of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix. It was Ana's third defeat to the Frenchwoman in the past two months, following losses in Monterrey and Indian Wells.
It was Ana who drew first break, breaking to lead 2-1. Garcia hit back and served for the opening set at 5-3. In the sea-saw first set, Ana later had a set point at 6-5 up in the tiebreak, but Garcia won three straight points to clinch the set.
The second set was a little more on-sided, as Garcia scored an early break and led throughout.
Serbia clinched a routine 4-1 win over Paraguay in the Fed Cup World Group II Play-Offs. The victory means that they will compete in the World Group II in 2016.
Leading 2-0 overnight, Serbian captain Tatjana Jecmenica chose to blood her nation's younger players on Sunday. 17-year-old Ivana Jorovic made her Fed Cup debut, losing in three sets to 166-ranked Veronica Cepede Royg, before Aleksandra Krunic sealed victory with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Montserrat Gonzalez.
The two youngsters then teamed up to win the doubles rubber 6-1, 6-4.

Ana has been drawn to play France's Caroline Garcia in the first round of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix, which takes place in Stuttgart next week. It will be the third meeting between the pair this year - Garcia won the first two, both in three sets.
Ana won their other previous meeting 6-1, 6-3 at the French Open last year.
If Ana, who is seeded fifth, progresses to round two, she is likely to have a somewhat easier match in the shape of either Mona Barthel or wild card Carina Witthoeft.
Ana beat Montserrat Gonzalez 6-2, 6-0 as Serbia eased into a 2-0 lead over Paraguay in the Fed Cup World Group II Play-Offs.
Earlier Aleksandra Krunic defeated Paraguay's No.1-ranked player, world No.166 Veronica Cepede Royg 6-3, 6-1.
Ana takes on Cepede Royg in the third rubber on Sunday knowing that a victory would ensure Serbia's ascent to the World Group II for 2016.

Ana is part of the Serbian team that is taking on Paraguay in a Fed Cup World Group II Play-Off tie in Novi Sad at the weekend. Ana is the highest-ranked player in the tie.
Ana's last Fed Cup appearance came exactly one year ago, when she beat world No.3 Simona Halep, after surprisingly losing to Sorana Cirstea, as Serbia lost to Romania.
"Playing in front of my home supporters is a special thrill," said Ana, who has a 19-9 win-loss record in Fed Cup play, including doubles.
Ana will represent Dubai-based U.A.E. Royals during the second season of the International Premier Tennis League (IPTL). She won the league in the ITPL's inaugural season last year, while competing for the Micromax Indian Aces.
Ana will be joined on the roster by Roger Federer, Marin Cilic, Tomas Berdych, Goran Ivanisevic, Daniel Nestor and Kristina Mladenovic.
The League is expanding to five teams, with the Japan Warriors joining in 2015.

Ana's singles ranking is unchanged at No.6 in the latest WTA Singles Rankings, which are published today.
