maryjka: Hi Ana:) I wonder what your eye colour is. I found some pictures from Montréal, and I saw that your eyes are blue/gray. But in other pictures your eyes are brown. Which colour is true (you look beautiful with both!)? Kisses from Warsaw!
Ana: My eyes are green-brown. Thank you very much for this compliment.

Antonio: Hi Ana! How old were you when you left your country to play an international tournament?
Ana: I was 14 when I first played a tournament overseas. It was in South America.

Evan: Hey Ana. Considering the style of tennis you play, are there any adjustments that you attempt to implement in your game so it’s more effective on clay? I was wondering as many players struggle on clay because their game doesn’t work on the surface.

Video highlights - Ana vs Schnyder Dec 8th 2006

Ana had lost eight out of eight sets against Patty Schnyder before their meeting in Warsaw this year. The teenager was without a coach, having recently parted company with Zoltan Kukharsky. Despite being on her own, Ana played one of her best matches of 2006, totally reversing the trend against the Swiss by overwhelming her 6-3, 6-2.

December competition Dec 6th 2006

Today we are launching a new prize draw to win a Wilson racket bag and signed photo of Ana.

Ana will personally autograph a photograph, addressed to the winner, to accompany a Wilson six-racket thermo.

Ana said: "This bag is good because it is big enough to hold everything I need. I like that it has two straps, like a rucksack, so you can carry it on your back if you wish."

November competition winner Dec 4th 2006

Tobias Meißner, who lives in Germany, is the winner of the November competition. He receives an adidas top signed by Ana. "This is great," said Tobias. "I'm so happy that I'm the winner. Thank you!"

Video highlights - Ana vs Dementieva Dec 3rd 2006

One of Ana's most thrilling matches of 2006 was in Indian Wells. Having won through to the quarter-finals with three successive straight sets victories, Ana faced fourth seeded Russian Elena Dementieva.

Ana stormed through a one-sided first set, winning it 6-2. She broke immediately at the beginning of the second set and was in command of the match before the experienced Russian turned things round.
