Ana has been drawn against world No.52 Annika Beck of Germany in the Toray Pan Pacific Open, which begins in Tokyo on Sunday. She is seeded 11th at the 56-woman, $2,369,000 event.
If she reaches round two Ana will meet either Elina Svitolina of the Ukraine or home wild card Karumi Nara. Fifth seed Angelique Kerber is a possible third round opponent.
Second seed Agniezska Radwanska is a potential adversary in the quarter-finals, while No.4 Caroline Wozniacki could await in the last four.
The leading seeds in the top half of the draw, whom Ana cannot face until the final, are No.1 Victoria Azarenka, No.3 Sara Errani, No.6 Jelena Jankovic and No.7 Petra Kvitova.
