Updated: Rankings and scheduling

Ana’s Sony Ericsson WTA Tour singles ranking is unchanged at No.15 in the latest list, which is published today. She slips one place to No.14 in the Porsche Race, while her doubles ranking rises three places to No.50, an all-time high.

The most significant change to the singles rankings sees China Open winner Svetlana Kuznetsova move up to a joint career-best position of No.4. Martina Hingis, who triumphed in Kolkata last week, moves up one place to No.8 at the expense of her countrywoman Patty Schnyder.

Ana is in action in this week’s FORTIS Championships in Luxembourg. She plays five-time Grand Slam champion Venus Williams in the first round. The match will take place on Wednesday – check back later for exact scheduling information.

Ana did not compete in this corresponding week 12 months ago so she has no ranking points to defend. The breakdown for the Tier II event, which takes place on indoor hard courts, is as follows: First Round, 1pt; Second Round, 25pts; Quarter-Finals, 49pts; Semi-Finals, 88pts, Runner-up, 137pts, Winner, 195pts.
