Victorious Ana heads to Luxembourg

Following her one-sided victory in Sunday's Generali Ladies Linz final, Ana is this week competing in the BGL BNP Paribas Luxembourg Open. Ana is seeded fourth and has been drawn and Sweden's Johanna Larsson in the first round.

If she can overcome the world No.65, whom she has never before played, Ana will face either Romina Oprandi or Italy or Spain's Arantxa Parra Santonja in the second round.

Ana's most likely quarter-final opponent is eight seed Julia Goerges, whom she beat in the same stage in Linz last week.

Top seed Elena Dementieva is a possible semi-final adversary.

The leading seeds in the bottom half of the draw, whom Ana cannot meet until the final, are No.2 Aravane Rezai and No.3 Yanina Wickmayer.

Ana is playing doubles with Wickmayer this week, with the pair taking on the French-South African pairing of Aurelie Vedy and Chanelle Scheepers in the first round.

As a result of her win in Linz, Ana's ranking has moved up three places to No.26.
