WTA celebrates 40th anniversary

Ana was among two dozen former world No.1-ranked players to take part in the WTA's "40 LOVE" celebrations at Wimbledon on Sunday.

The 25-year-old joined the likes of Billie-Jean King, Martina Navratilova, Margaret Court and Serena Williams to recognize the landmark anniversary of the creation of professional women's tennis.

"It's a great honour to be here today," said Ana. "To see all the past champions, it's amazing. To be in this kind of company is very special."

Reflecting on her own ascent to the No.1 ranking, Ana said: "It's something that will live with me forever. The emotions - I don't think it's something I'll ever be able to explain."
