After taking part in a press conference in Sydney yesterday, Ana is featured in all of Australia's leading newspapers today.
The following are extracts from the four features:
"I always say this is my favourite country and I really want to do well," said Ivanovic, who's arrived in the country already and is basing herself in Manly for the warm-up event in Sydney in early January.
Ana is on the cover of the current issue of VIta, a health and lifestyle magazine in Serbia. The following is a translation of the interview:
In previous seasons injuries stopped you from reaching the top of world tennis. This year, it seems like you successfully avoided them. How do you prevent injuries?
I had a relatively serious knee injury during Wimbledon. It was cured with therapy, but I had to cancel a Fed Cup appearance because of it. Injuries can be avoided, or at least minimized, with proper conditional work.
Ana is featured in the current issue of Annabelle, a women's fashion magazine in Switzerland.
In the five-page feature interview Ana talks to writer Peter Ackermann about, among other things, growing up during the NATO bombings of Belgrade, her early tennis development and her current popularity.
Ana is featured in the latest issue of ELLE magazine in Spain.
The following is a translated extract:
Ana Ivanovic is a humble girl, seriously speaking, and with a charming shyness, which comes with her striking features. She says her beauty, as is the case with her fellow players, "is being used to stress the glamorous aspect of tennis. It's complicated to stay away from that. As for me, I enjoy when I have a photo session once in a while, or when I try new styles... but above all, I'm concentrated on the game."
The new issue of Sports Ilustrated for Kids includes a feature on Ana demonstrating the serve. Here is the text from the article:
1. Toss is boss
Keep your arm straight and toss the ball in the air with your left hand (lefties should do the opposite). Throw the ball straight up and a little bit in front of the baseline. "Don't toss the ball too high, because it's hard to time your serve," says Ana. The ball should be just high enough to hit the middle of your racket when your arm is stretched out.
Ana took part in an informal interview for the tournament programme of the Zurich Open. The publication terms such interviews "indiscreet" because of the offbeat nature of the questions:
What was the nicest compliment you have ever received?
Anytime someone says I inspired them to play tennis. That means a lot to me.
Assuming you could be invisible – What would you do?
It would be hard to resist the temptation to spy on people!
What is the first thing you do when you get home?
Ana is featured in the November issue of Teen Vogue , which goes on sale in North America today.
In the "Beauty Blogger" section, Eva Chen writes:
"The world is Ana Ivanovic’s oyster...She loves to shop, even if her last spree literally made her a fashion victim. “I bought a Louis Vuitton dress with some of my winnings [from the French Open] — it got stolen a week later on a trip to Barcelona!!” she says.
Aftter conducting the draw ceremony at a department store in the centre of Zurich on Saturday, Ana featured prominently in the Swiss newspapers on Sunday.
The nation's biggest-selling newspaper, Blick, carried a double-page spread, with exclusive photos of Ana shopping, beside the subtitle "Everbody's darling".
Lifestyle magazine Schweitzer Illustriete, who produce the tournament's daily newspaper, went one further with the headline "Alles drehte sich um Ana" ("Everything revolved around Ana")
Ana was recently interviewed by Prestup magazine in Serbia. Here is a translation:
What were your first tennis experiences?
The first tournaments I took part in were held in Belgrade, so it was a national level. I remember the first tournament I ever played in; I was in quarter-finals against the No.1 ranked girl and I beat her. At that time I didn’t know what a ranking list was, so I asked my dad to explain it.
What else do you remember?
Ana was recently featured in Story Magazine in Serbia. The interview included some interesting new material, which is translated below:
How do you celebrate important wins?
