The following is an extract from the Q & A interview:

When are you planning to visit Belgrade?
I was in Belgrade for a week after I lost at the French Open. It was my first visit in almost six months and I had really missed my grandparents: I visited them as soon as I got back.

I went to the premiere of Sex and the City and I also visited Zira for the shopping party on Saturday. It was a very nice event and I really enjoyed meeting people there, especially some of the small kids that came.

Also, my friend Sorana Cirstea, another tennis player, visited Belgrade, so I showed her around. It was good fun, but unfortunately we only had a few days together.

Were you on some special diet or training process in order to improve your game?
I am not sure I would call it a “diet”, because that usually means you are trying to lose weight. But of course I eat responsibly – the kind of foods that are suitable to a professional athlete. That means, for example, that I avoid fried foods. I eat a lot of high-protein foods such as chicken. I prefer rice to pasta.

Are you planning to do some more fashion photos in future?
Photo shoots are always fun to do and I enjoy taking part in them from time to time. But considering the amount of times I am asked about photo shoots, it seems like people don’t really understand that they are something I only do very occasionally. For example, this year I have done only two so far, in six months. I enjoy them, because it’s not often I have a chance to dress up – I am usually wearing sports clothing the whole day, because of practice.

Do you ever think about what are you going to do after tennis and can you imagine your life without racket?
Not really – only when I am asked about it! There is still so much I want to achieve on the tennis court, and I’m still only 22. Tennis is such an important part of my life that it’s hard to imagine I won’t be involved in some way when I retire, but I prefer not to think about that right now.
